Dehumidification & Technology
Dehumidification reduces the humidity, which increases the rate of drying. Rapid drying in water damage situations is achieved by balancing evaporation and dehumidification, utilizing refrigerant or desiccant technology. By carefully monitoring the drying equipment and the environment, Steamatic technicians can reduce moisture levels deep within the structure and contents helping to avoid a wide range of future problems, including mold amplification.
Custom techniques are used to dehumidify, clean, seal, and deodorize hard surfaces and structures. Damage can occur from water and soot resulting in floors buckling, acoustical tile damage, and water damage in dead air spaces between walls. Steamatic provides initial written estimates supported by detailed scopes and technical reports.
Desiccant Dehumidification
Desiccant draws moist, humid air from the structure and returns warm, dry air. This method operates in all temperatures and climates. Desiccant dehumidification works best on materials that have a low permeance level, such as wood floors and framing and are capable of drying large areas, buildings, warehouses, etc.
Refrigerant Dehumidification
This is the most common method of drying. Refrigerant dehumidification works best in materials that have a high permeance level, such as carpet, drywall and soft goods.
You can rely on Steamatic's trained technicians to provide the most advanced drying procedures for your loss.
