The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration produces standards that are considered to be national standard operating procedure for most restoration services. Companies associated with the IICRC are dedicated to creating a higher quality standard in the restoration industry. Steamatic is an approved school for IICRC courses.

The Restoration Industry Association is a professional association comprising more than 1,300 member organizations, representing over 20,000 cleaning and restoration professionals who specialize in the cleaning, treatment and repair of damaged buildings and their contents. RIA members share a commitment to professionalism through a strict Code of Ethics. They are also committed to improving industry standards, as well as ongoing technical research, which is conducted by the RIA’s technical staff.

The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) is a nonprofit, multi-disciplined organization, dedicated to promoting the exchange of indoor environmental information, through education and research, for the safety and well being of the general public.

The Environmental Information Association (EIA), with its beginnings as the National Asbestos Council, has spent 25 years at the forefront in providing the environmental industry with the information needed to remain knowledgeable, responsible, and competitive in the environmental health and safety industry. The Association’s multi-disciplinary membership will collect, generate and disseminate information concerning environmental health hazards to occupants of buildings, industrial sites and other facility operations.

The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) was formed in 1989 as a non-profit association of companies engaged in the cleaning of HVAC systems. Its mission was to promote source removal as the only acceptable method of cleaning and to establish industry standards for the association. NADCA has expanded its mission to include the representation of qualified companies engaged in the assessment, cleaning, and restoration of HVAC systems, and to assist its members in providing high quality service to their customers. The goal of the association is to be the number one source for the HVAC cleaning and restoration services: first time, every time.
